Sharing BeeOmetrics with the world at Biomim’expo 2025

On 28 October, we had the pleasure of presenting BeeOmetrics for the very first time to a broad audience at Biomim’expo 2025 in Marseille, an inspiring gathering where science, business, education and innovation meet to explore how nature can guide the solutions of tomorrow through Biomimicry.

This was a special milestone for our team. For the first time, both the general public and the scientific community discovered how BeeOmetrics uses wild bees as environmental sentinels to measure biodiversity and pollution at parcel scale (40 ha), thanks to an EIC-funded research effort combining biomonitoring, field ecology and AI-driven image recognition.

Dr. Ir. Floriane Carron and Beeodiversity marketing director Chamaï Winograd joined forces at the booth to introduce the project, exchange with visitors, and share how nature-inspired data can guide real regeneration on the ground.

A day of bioinspiration, dialogue and connection

Throughout the event, we met an incredible diversity of people:

• professionals from the corporate world looking for measurable nature-based solutions,
• researchers and experts eager to explore new avenues for biomonitoring,
• innovators developing tools that, like BeeOmetrics, bridge technology and ecology,
• and even children, captivated as Floriane presented the project and explained how bees help us understand the health of ecosystems.

These conversations reaffirmed the appetite for science-based, practical and scalable solutions to guide ecological transition efforts, and strengthened our belief that biomimicry is a powerful accelerator for regeneration.

Looking ahead to create more impact through biodiversity regeneration

Sharing BeeOmetrics publicly for the first time was both energising and deeply meaningful. We are grateful to everyone who visited the booth, asked questions, shared ideas, and encouraged this journey.
This is only the beginning and we can’t wait to continue building, with partners across sectors, a future where biodiversity becomes a source of insight, resilience and value.
